Lanched Setpoint 5.2, and checked the amazing feature that I can't believe you guys dumped "Override OS Native drivers for pointer speed and acceleration" and set Acceleration to level 1.Įverything is working much better now. Ignored the untested with Win10 warnings and it installed it anyway.

Went back into Windows10, struggled to uninstall all Logitechs new POS software and drivers.ĭownloaded the 7yr old 2009 version of SetPoint 5.20.40 with driver 4.82.11. Launched its SetPoint to check the version and export everything as well as export the SmoothMouseXCurve and SmoothMouseYCurve's from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse. I switched the polling rate from 333 to 500 and now it seems to be 'laggy' or slow which causes me to overcompensate.Įdit3: Made is significantly better, but still a little slow and not nearly as precise as it is in Windows7. Or I'll go to click a button and inch away and the pointer will fling across the whole monitor.Įdit2: Starting to wonder if it's USB related. Sometimes a move will fling it all the way across the monitor, then the second time it will move like 1/4th way across. I'm starting to wonder if the sensor is dieing.
Also I should have mentioned that it was OK but not like the control I had in Win7 until last night when it started to get so inconsistent. With it off I can hardly even move the mouse across one screen without picking it up.ĮDIT: I just cannot control this thing, it's so inconsistent! And It seems to come and go! After uninstalling setpoint it got like 10x worse. But currently with it on I can't do anything without the mouse flying past everything I want to click on. I have 3 monitors so having the ability to quickly move from one side to the other is essential. I need to set Level 1 mouse acceleration but Logitech Gaming Software only lets you do all or none. It let you override the OS's Mouse Acceleration and offered 3 different levels of mouse acceleration.

On Windows 7 there was all kinds of settings, including the one I'm looking for. Like what it is even used for? All it has is an information page and a tools page for updates and status indicators. I seem not ot be able to "add" a setting for VS2015 in the first place.Įxperimenting with admin privileges of SetPoint and/or VS2015 and/or switching off UAC did not yield any working solution for me yet.Īny help would be highly appreciated, including information from people just verifying they do have a working setup - in order to possibly compare differences.įor completeness sake: I should be on the "actual" version of set-point according to the updater:Īnd for clarity: I have no problem adding other applications and short-cuts, including those which are launced with admin privileges.I don't understand what the differences between these software are, except that both are totally neutered versions of the SetPoint I had on Windows 7. I know that people hat issues with SetPoint not being accepted by VS2015 unless started as admin ( see here), but this is different. Entering the setup again, the entry just dissappeared again completely. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe"īut when I "OK" out (and/or "Apply" the setting), it does not seem to persist. The problem is, that when I add the VS2015 IDE via the "Add." button and the path However, I've recently switched over to VS2015 (on a Windows7 machine) and now wanted to port the same settings. As many others, I've been using Logitech SetPoint to map some mouse-buttons to short-key combos in VS2008 in order to have some better navigation.
